As a young korean man who was raised eating korean food, this place is a home away from home. I enjoyed the food. I especially enjoyed how nice the korean lady was who served us

Everyone in this town loooooves this place, so maybe I'm missing something. It might be the fact that I don't eat beef. Everyone raves about the beef bulgogi. We came in for lunch. It probably took about 30 minutes to get our food and drink order. My sister says its like this all the time, but it's worth it for the food. After our order was placed the food did come out within 10 minutes. The main problem for me was the service. It's family run so there were just 2-3 older women doing everything. The lady that took care of us just seemed annoyed that we were there. The food was ok. I got shrimp fried rice. The kimchi was also just alright. The crab Rangoon had no crab, just cream cheese. It was pretty good though. All in all a pretty mediocre experience.

The lunch special is great! This is best place around Fort Riley to get Korean food! I highly recommend it!

Lunch Special hands down the BEST thing there is to eat in Junction City! The sprout Kimchi is awesome. The Yaki Mandu are my favorite of any Korean place I have been. The rice is stupid good--I wont share so don't ask! The chicken wings!!!! I miss this place so much :(

The lunch special here is the BOMB.COM! It comes with 2, sometimes 3 wings, fried rice, beef bolgogi and 2 yaki mandu (it's like pot stickers) for about 9 bucks. Parking is really small and the place itself is small and can get pretty busy during lunch. Call for pick up during lunch hour is the best way to go!

Great food! Horrible parking so get there early for lunch. Nice SMALL place but great food.

It's a small restaurant with very limited parking, but the service is relatively fast depending on what you order. I suggest the Kimbop (although they only serve in one size which is a lot for one person). Big complaint is they serve their food in Styrofoam even if you eat there. They must really hate dishes. Also their Bulgolgi isn't as god as I'd hoped.

So apparently, my original comments and tips have been deleted... Well, here it goes again. I gave this place 3 chances, and all 3 chances have been very disappointing... I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. I guess if you like Americanized Korean food, then this is the place to go! Their bulgogi was the worst I have ever had in my life. WHY IS IT SO CHEWY AND DRY?!?! And why the hell is there gristle on bulgogi? I've never had that!! If you want REAL AUTHENTIC, and i repeat A-U-T-H-E-N-T-I-C Korean food around here, please do yourselves a favor and go to Korean Garden.

I've been to Korea...I've ate the same dishes they serve here, numerous times in different restaurants throughout Korea. However, this restaurant is not the Korea, my family is used to. Yakimondu is not that big or fried like that, what I tasted was an oddly shaped greasy egg roll. The Bulgogi is nothing like what is actually sold in Korea, it's suppose to be tender and saucy...My family will not be returning here this was a big waste of my money. 1 star, for friendliness.

I liked this place, but it was definitely far overpriced for what it was. It's probably one of the better places to eat in Junction City, but for the prices paid, it would be worth it to go to Manhattan for dinner. Maybe it's more worth it during lunch. Kind of a weird dingy little place, but I guess it's considered "good" for Junction City?

This place is really home-y. The lady working the counter (ajima) is always very friendly. I usually call in my order and get the lunch special w/fried rice, bulgogi, chicken wings, and yaki mandu and everything is usually quick and delicious!

Great lunch combos- not really the best Korean food (I think mine's better!), but DELICIOUS when you're stuck in junction city / fort riley.. It really sucks though, they only take cash.. Or at least a year ago it was that way. Inside is not very nice-looking, but again, this is Junction City..! Definitely try it! WAY better than going to the "chinese" restaurants in town...

Yes, every time I go there, I still get tickled by the fact that they serve their food in styrofoam containers, but they sure serve some delicious food!!! I've mostly ordered the beef or chicken dishes on the menu, and I've never been disappointed. There's one beef dish that comes served with a pair of scissors! For those with a surprised or shocked look on their faces, the server/ owner will kindly show them what's it for: yes, to cut the beef. I totally love all their side dishes (the varieties of kimchee, too), and she will gladly bring out more if you wanted it although I don't know whether they'd charge you or not. The waitress (and possibly the owner) is an elderly lady who would always ask if I were Korean every time I go there. She would also stand by your table for a little bit when food has been served just to 'monitor' you a bit (?) For the most part, it's always a pleasant dining experience. I usually stuff myself real good when I'm there.

I must agree that this place, although does look like a diner, it has that friendly feeling to it. When I entered she asked if I was Filipino. I answered yes and said in a gentle voice, "Yobosaeyo", along with a head nod. She smiled and said something of the sort back to me. Awesome! I was relieved that she didn't assume I knew Korean, but just the basics. This intro made my dining experience exceptionally well. I sat down, grabbed a 24 oz Mountain Dew and accepted her offer of the lunch special. A usual $10.95 special for $6.95 between 11am and 1pm. It was close to 1130 and I was the only person dining in. Within 10 minutes, most of the tables and seats were taken. Each table ordering the same lunch special with their own liquid refreshment. My lunch special consisted of white rice (or fried rice), beef bulgogi, two chicken wings, two crab rangoon, no kim chee for me, and side of tasty cucumber soup thing. You may also replace the rangoon with mandu. Overall, the food was great, the food came quick, not just the fact that I was the only one when I ordered, but with the two "omas" there, they worked the joint. Awesome!

This place is much too overpriced and the portion sizes were quite small. The side dishes were probably the only thing I liked other than the fact they served your food in to- go containers. They were quite fast in serving food as well even though we came around closing time which was 730pm. The bulgogi we ordered wasn't as flavorful as I'd imagined and tasted a bit charred from past dishes that were cooked. We might try it again, but for lunch.

My friends and I love this place cuz they serve great Korean food. Their beef bulgogi is really good. The rice and dish are just the right amount, and the price is decent. The staff is nice. They have a old style juke box near the front of the restaurant, which is kind of cool!

Good food, friendly older ladies running the place. Can be a little dingy, but a fun place to go.
